About
Hello
I'm Nico, an engineer from Braunschweig, Germany. I'm currently pursuing my M.Sc. in Smart Systems Integrated Solutions through the Erasmus Mundus program, studying across Finland, Norway, and Hungary.
My background spans automotive mechatronics, embedded systems, and E/E architecture. Before my master's, I worked as an Electrics/Electronics Network Architect at Volkswagen AG, where I also completed a dual study program combining university with hands-on automotive work.
Focus
Hardware-near programming, embedded systems, and autonomous technology. Currently working on Digital Twin and Hardware-in-the-Loop systems for fixed-wing UAS as part of the EU Horizon SEAGUARD project at the University of South-Eastern Norway.

Beyond work
I'm a licensed glider pilot and enjoy soaring whenever I can — you can track my flights on WeGlide. I also hold a sport-coastal ship license and volunteer as the EMA Country Representative for Germany, helping future Erasmus Mundus students prepare for their journeys. At my gliding club (Aero-Club Braunschweig), I serve as IT administrator. When I'm not engineering something, you'll find me skiing, traveling, or tinkering with DIY electronics.
